Pull
in the plane
the vertical plane from you to the line of the rope
close to your nose,
vertically;
don't throw the rope outward.
- Strive for continuous motion.
-
When ringing tenor behind, out of six (
doubles with tenor behind
):
pull when you hear (3rd or) 4th bell
seems to work out about right.
-
Ropesight practice:
-
watch 2 ringers and note who pulls first,
until this is
dead easy,
then
-
watch 3 ringers and note who pulls first,
ditto, then
-
watch 4 ringers and note who pulls first,
ditto, then
- etc.
